Ivanovic Replacement Found, Chelsea To Sign Two World Class Strikers

The transfer market suddenly seems much more interesting for Chelsea as new targets become clear. The loss to Real Madrid proved that the defence needs a nice patching work and hence today’s rumours tend to that need. With some new names and other old ones popping up, it’s an interesting day. Let’s see what players are being linked with the Blues for the upcoming season and how much water they hold.

Colombian eyed as Ivanovic’s replacement

If you have seen Ivanovic play since the start of last season, you probably want him out of the starting XI for the new season that’s only a few weeks away. So, welcome Colombia international right-back Santiago Arias. The 24-year-old plays for Dutch big guns PSV Eindhoven as a right back but is also capable of deputising on left back if need be, just as Chelsea like them.

A good passer, dribbler and crosser of the ball, Arias is also good at keeping hold of the ball. He played 32 games in the Eredivisie last season, and his performances were top notch. Although he has a bit of a discipline problem that should improve as he matures. There’s a lot of room for that.
