Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah wants to wait for another month before taking a decision on his immediate future.
The 22-year old has been in stunning form for Fiorentina in his loan spell and has become a vital cog in the Italian side’s march in the Europa League’s semi -finals. Salah was a part of the deal that saw the Blues sign Juan Cuadrado for £26.1m from the Viola in the January transfer window.
Salah made just a handful of Premier League appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League since joining from Swiss side Basel for £11m in 2013. The winger as per reports from Metro now seems to be questioning where his future will lie.
Salah also has the option of extending his loan spell while Fiorentina can also sign him on an initial £9.5million up front, with add-ons taking it up to £18m. It is believed that other Italian giants Roma and Juventus also want to sign Salah this summer. Thus Fiorentina are considering bringing forward their plans to sign him permanently.
The London Evening Standard also have quoted the player saying:
“Chelsea gave me the opportunity to reach that level. I still have one month to make a decision about my future. I’m enjoying being here and my objective is to reach the [Europa League] final.”
Moreover, according to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the Egyptian winger and are considering a move for him in the summer transfer window. The so-called ‘Egyptian Messi’ has impressed this season on loan at Fiorentina and might consider a move to North London after failing to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge. Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino rates Salah very highly and will be looking to bolster his attack for next season.
