Pre-Match Conference – Blow To Chelsea As Loic Remy Could Be Out Of The Man United Clash

Ahead of the title-decider game (although we have almost wrapped it up already) against Manchester United, it was time for the pre-match press conference.

When you have Jose Mourinho as your manager, it’s always exciting to look forward to what the manager has to say because you know there’s going to be some interesting stuff down there compared to let’s say a boring traditional interview of Manuel Pellegrini.

So let’s take a look at what the Portuguese had to say on the eve of the big match:

When asked about the motivation factor going into the game tomorrow, Jose replied

“It’s an easy job to motivate my side ahead of a game against Manchester United”

When inquired on the injury front we were in for some bad news. According to the manager:

“I don’t know if Loic Remy will be fit to play but he has a chance.”

That’s the worrying news as far as Chelsea are concerned. With Costa unavailable and Remy in doubt, we would be a little short up front with Drogba as the only available option.

On Costa’s injury:

“Diego Costa’s recovery is going well and he will start training with the rest of the squad next week. There are no other injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s game.”

So Diego Costa is the only one who misses out tomorrow, while Remy remains a doubt. It also means that John Obi Mikel is fully fit and available for selection.

Jose also had some words of praise for Manchester United, who currently sits third in the Premier League, just below Arsenal. Let’s hear it straight from the Horse’s mouth again:

“Man United’s squad is amazing in terms of numbers, solutions and experience.”

A win tomorrow will more or less guarantee us the title. Although, the way United has been playing for the past few weeks, this sure as hell is going to be one difficult fixture to deal with. As Jose said:

“The safest option is to win 11 points, which we cannot do in two games but we can do in seven. We will change nothing.”

3 points tomorrow against a direct competitor will go a long way in strengthening our shout for the title.

Oh, and if you had any doubts, Jose reinstated that he is one of us:

“I love my team, I love my squad and I love the objective we are fighting for.”

So, that settles it then! 3 points tomorrow and we are en route for the PL trophy. KTBFFH!

P.S. Juan Mata, you looked better in Blue!
