Derby County vs Chelsea (1-3) : All Goals highlights

A fantastic atmosphere at Pride Park Stadium as the very best side in the Championship took on the very best side in the Premier League.

The Blues reached the Semi-Finals with ease as they showcased another ruthless and clinical performance. Cahill and Oscar were given the night off as Derby County were up against a starting 11 which was valued at £156 million. Eden Hazard put the Premier League leaders in front and Luis made it 2-0. Craig Bryson gave Derby hope before Jake Buxton saw red and Schurrle secured the win in the 82nd minute.

23′ Eden Hazard

Chelsea put Keogh off outside the area as the Blues pressurized the Derby defense. The Belgian capitalized on Keogh’s mistake and went past the keeper with an accurate low shot – his ninth goal of the season. Cesc Fabregas earned another assist.

56′ Filipe Luis

Didier Drogba won a free kick 30 yards outside and FIlipe Luis was in-charge. The Brazilian curled a sublime shot over the wall and past Grant into the top right corner. This was the Left-Back’s first goal for Chelsea.

71′ Craig Bryson

Fabregas made a rare mistake giving the ball away during an attack and Derby were quick to counter; Ivanovic failed to clear the ball in his own third as Russel layed it off to Bryson who curled a shot past Cech into the bottom left corner.

82′ Andre Schurrle

Fabregas slipped it to Remy on the right; the striker’s shot was saved by Grant as Schurrle was waiting for the rebound and sweeped it home.

Derby did show some fight but the red card destroyed Derby’s momentum of matching the Premier League leaders.The Capital One cup is the first title Mourinho won at his first stint at Chelsea and the Portuguese manager wants it this time around too. The Blues have just 1 defeat in 27 games in all competitions and look to be regaining their confidence after their loss to Newcastle.

Mourinho’s men have a well deserved 6 days to rest before they head to Stoke on Monday to keep their lead over current champions Manchester City intact.
