CHELSEA have agreed a £170m deal with Real Madrid for Eden Hazard, according to reports.
Hazard’s six-year spell at Chelsea appears to be drawing its conclusion as the European champions close in on their target.
Los Blancos have made the Belgian their number one priority this summer after he spoke of his desire to sign for the club.
The Blues turned down Real’s opening offer of around £90m plus bonuses for their talisman, according to TodoMercadoWeb.
But Real have no shortage of cash after selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus for the same amount they initially offered for Hazard.
Meanwhile, president Florentino Perez has reportedly offered Hazard a contract offer worth £13.5m-per-season to move to the Bernabeu.
And Le10 Sport are now claiming that a ‘first agreement’ of £170m has been reached between Chelsea and Real Madrid for the 27-year-old.
Intriguingly, the report appears to elude to Thibaut Courtois being included in the deal for the price quoted.
Maurizio Sarri has refused to rule out the prospect of convincing Hazard to stay at Stamford Bridge.
The new Chelsea boss claimed this week that he wants to hold face-to-face talks with the winger.
“A telephone call without looking them in the eyes would not give me any certainty,” said the Chelsea manager.
“I want to meet them face-to-face and talk to them and see what the best thing to do would be for everybody.
“Before that I would also like a player to come on the pitch with me for four or five days to get a clear idea of what the picture is.”
