The biggest piece of transfer speculation we’ve uncovered this morning relates to our French midfielder, N’Golo Kante.
Kante, firmly established as being the best in his position in Europe, is wanted by not one but two of Europe’s top clubs.
According to the good folk of the tabloid publication, the Sun, who have collated their information from the French news source, Paris United, 27-year-old Kante is wanted by both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
The new Paris-Saint-Germain boss sees Kante as the perfect fit for his side, whilst manager-less Real Madrid are looking to add to their squad to challenge Barcelona for the La Liga title.
Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d be absolutely gutted if Kante were to leave Stamford Bridge, his loss would be a huge loss to the side and possibly one we’d not recover from.
However, although I may be wrong here, Kante doesn’t strike me as the kind of player who’d push for a move and has seemed quite content at Chelsea Football Club.
But, we will keep an eye out for any further speculation relating to the situation.
Chelsea and Liverpool dealt transfer blow as Brazil hero gives an update on Alisson’s future
Chelsea and Liverpool have been dealt a transfer blow with the news that Alisson is set to stay in Italy this summer.
The goalkeeper has become hot property this summer following an impressive breakthrough season for Roma.
There have been many question marks over his future, with Premier League sides Chelsea and Liverpool both interested in bringing him to England.
The 25-year-old Brazilian was part of the Roma side that finished third in Serie A last season and as a result, has a number of suitors.
But he is going nowhere according to Brazil legend Claudio Taffarel.
The 52-year-old won the World Cup with Brazil in 1994 and was also part of the side that finished as runners-up in 1998. And he does not believe his compatriot will move to the Premier League this summer.
Speaking on Tele Radio Stereo, he said: “He is surpassing all expectations. He’s a goalkeeper who brings a great sense of calm and I am very happy for him. His greatest strength, as well as his talent, is the mentality.
“Alisson has this remarkable character, is very calm and intelligent when he plays. There is a good rapport with his team-mates and he is strong psychologically.
“He is very happy at Roma and the rumours of a transfer are just rumours. I don’t know what will happen, but he said he’d be content to remain at Roma.”
