That’s according to Robbie Fowler who’s slammed the Italian chief for branding Liverpool lucky.
The Reds have booked their place in the Champions League final.
Conte, however, suggested the Anfield giants had been fortunate to get there.
Liverpool and Chelsea lock horns this afternoon and Fowler says Jurgen Klopp will use the jibes to gee up his team.
He wrote in The Mirror: “I am even happier for them now, because of all that rubbish from Antonio Conte about lucky teams winning being able to win the Champions League.
“You can’t fluke your way into the final of the world’s toughest knockout competition.
“Jurgen Klopp will tell his team how Conte has disrespected them, how he’s taunting them. Managers know how to wind up their players.
“He will be telling his side to go out and prove they are a better team than Chelsea, which, if we are being honest, they are, because the table doesn’t lie either.
“Liverpool have been a FAR better team than Chelsea this season because they are a proper team, whereas Conte’s side have been a bit of a rag-tag bunch of talented individuals.
“So I hope Klopp can get his men up one more time to prove why they are ahead of Chelsea – and why they deserve to keep their opponents out of the top four.”
Spanish giants identify Chelsea star as top summer target – Report
Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are feeling extremely disappointed as they look like missing out on Champions League football.
Antonio Conte has had a season to forget as he continues to lean towards an inevitable exit after a less than convincing campaign.
Although, he may not be the only man heading for the exits in the summer months, as according to Mundo Deportivo, Thibaut Courtois is one of Real Madrid’s top two targets.
Real Madrid are in need of reinforcements in goal, with Keylor Navas turning 32 next season and Kiko Casilla set to depart.
So, with Jose Mourinho unwilling to sell David De Gea in the summer transfer window, it’s understood that Real Madrid have now identified Thibaut Courtois as one of their top two targets.
Therefore, the Blues could head into next season looking worse for wear, as the Belgian may look to move to Spain after struggling to achieve any success at Stamford Bridge in the current campaign.
Thibaut Courtois has been one of Chelsea’s standout performers in the current campaign as he often comes to the rescue, but he may opt to move away in the summer after a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge.
So, the Blues may have to dip into the market for a goalkeeper in the summer, as an offer from Madrid may be too hard to turn down.
