EDEN HAZARD earned the first laugh over his Manchester United rivals before Saturday’s FA Cup final.
Antonio Conte ended a lacklustre season on a high as his Chelsea side beat Manchester United 1-0 at Wembley.
An Eden Hazard penalty proved decisive to clinch the trophy in a game that gave the Blues a degree of respectability after a disappointing defence of their Premier League title.
And while Jose Mourinho’s criticism has done nothing to dampen their spirits, Chelsea fans have labelled Eden Hazard a hero for his pre-match banter with United star Alexis Sanchez.
Footage shared on YouTube shows the two sides lining up in the tunnel with their mascots before kick off.
The nerves of the occasion are clear for all to see as the players ready themselves for one of the biggest games of the season.
Hazard seems completely unfazed, though.
And when he sees Sanchez walking out alongside a mascot who is taller than him, he can’t help but point and laugh.
Clearly embarrassed, Sanchez looks for the help of Paul Pogba – who quickly realises and they swap mascots as laughter ring out around the tunnel.
Since it was posted online, the clip has been seen over 2,000 times.
And Chelsea fans have heaped praise on their Belgian playmaker.
“Hazard laughed at Alexis and told him to swap his mascot ahahaha,” one wrote.
A second added: “Eden Hazard. What. A. Man.”
While a third simply wrote: “Hazard is absolute class.”
Earlier today, reports emerged linking the 27-year-old with a £100m switch to Manchester City.
