Chelsea fans might have to be chanting another manager’s name from the turnstiles next season with Antonio Conte set to be replaced after just two years at the helm.
It seems to be a strange thing to have to say that a manager will be replaced after having won the Premier League in his debut season and then backed it up with the FA Cup title the following year.
However, Roman Abramovich could well be set to replace Conte with Maurizio Sarri with the Blues trying to get a final agreement over the line with Napoli to release him from his contract, despite the Italian not actually being the Serie A club’s manager anymore after being replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.
There has been a lot of excitement about Sarri and the style of football that he has brought to Napoli, with an attacking mentality and pushing Juventus hard for the title.
However, the one drawback is that the Italian is yet to win a trophy as a manager, while Conte won three Scudetto’s during his time as head coach of Juventus.
But is that enough to put Chelsea fans off? Football.london asked Chelsea fans on Facebook to have their say on who should be the man in charge at Stamford Bridge next season, and they overwhelmingly voted in favour of keeping Conte at the club to see out the final year of his contract.
