These 2 players will follow Alvaro Morata out of Chelsea this summer if he leaves

Our Chelsea fans here are reacting to reports that one of their strikers may leave the club in the summer after struggling to make a massive impact in his first season in SW6.

Alvaro Morata has been a lonely figure up front in the Chelsea team, ever since his summer move to the Blues, much to the frustration of our regular Blues in the bar. Indeed, his old club Juventus want their striker back according to reports.

The Spaniard enjoyed a successful period in Italy when he was on loan there from Real Madrid for two years – where he picked up back-to-back Serie A titles and looked to have found his footballing home. However, since then a move to London materialised for the striker and it goes without saying, he has found the Premier League a tough challenge to take.

Early signs seemed to suggest he’d be a huge hit but in recent times he looks as if it’s all got on top of him… the substitution reaction summed it up on Thursday against Burnley.

With that in mind, we take a look at if Morata was to return to the Old Lady this summer, which TWO players would follow right behind him out of the Stamford Bridge exit door…

DAVID LUIZ

Despite a reported falling out with the manager, Luiz is still on the books for the Blues and Chelsea need his experience at the moment. However, come the summer, Luiz may be out and looks certain to be replaced by the up and coming centre-back, Andreas Christensen.

The Danish star has really found his feet at Stamford Bridge since his successful loan moves brought him back to the club, ready for first-team football.

With the Brazilian hitting the 30’s, an easier style of football may be the best option for him.

EDEN HAZARD

Hazard has been a long-term target for ‘Los Blancos’ and with the ageing Ronaldo – even though he’s showing no signs of it catching up to him recently – Madrid will surely be looking for the next long-term Galactico replacement to take the step into the limelight.

Capturing Hazard may be a big task but, like most of the members of the darts team in the pub know, Chelsea are now starting to run the club more like a business and money may talk.

Hazard may also seek pastures new as part of the supposed major revamp of the club.
