Earlier today we brought you the news that Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi had been stretchered off during Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga clash with Schalke.
The sight of the Belgian leaving the field on the stretcher was met with great concern from us Chelsea fans, who are all hoping to see Batshuayi push former Blues’ striker Romelu Lukaku for a starting spot at the World Cup.
Well, if seeing Batshuayi on a stretcher was enough to keep you up tonight, this latest update on the situation will provide you with no respite.
Sports journalist Mootaz Chehade posted on Twitter claiming that Batshuayi had in fact broken his leg. Chehade insinuates that his loan with Dortmund will subsequently be cut-short and he will return to Chelsea for treatment.

We await official confirmation of what would be utterly devastating news. Batshuayi will likely keep us in the loop via his Twitter account. We’ll be the first to let you know if someone brings his phone to the treatment table.
Chelsea Ladies beat Man City to reach Women’s FA Cup final
Fran Kirby scored both goals as Chelsea Ladies beat Manchester City 2-0 in the Women’s FA Cup semi-final.
Emma Hayes’ side, who will face Arsenal in the final at Wembley on 5 May, made perfect start, going ahead after just five minutes when Kirby slotted home following a mistake by City’s Steph Houghton.
Another error, this time by Jen Beattie, led to Kirby scoring her second with 16 minutes remaining.
It leaves the Women’s Super League leaders and Champions League semi-finalists in with a chance of winning the Treble.
A crowd of more than 3,000 saw the game at Kingsmeadow.
