CHELSEA chief Roman Abramovich is reportedly insisting on a deal for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
The Russian has bankrolled the Blues for over a decade now, bringing a wealth of success to west London.
Abramovich will likely have a big decision on his hands in the summer, with Antonio Conte expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
And any new Chelsea boss may have Bale at his disposal at Stamford Bridge next year.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Abramovich is preparing to land the Welshman this summer.
And the publication claims the Chelsea bigwig is willing to sacrifice Eden Hazard to make the deal happen.
The Belgian has been continuously linked with the Spanish outfit in recent times.
And Hazard may finally move to the Bernabeu at the end of the campaign, which would please long-time admirer Zinedine Zidane.
The Spanish outfit are in desperate need of new attacking fire power after struggling in La Liga this term.
Bale has produced some solid performances since his return from injury.
But ZIdane still fails to include the former Tottenham star on a regular basis.
Bale was hooked at half-time in the defeat against Juventus earlier this month which led to rumours of a rift between himself and the Frenchman.
Nicolas Otamendi Breaks Cesc Fabregas’ Impressive Premier League Record
Nicolas Otamendi was deservedly named in the Premier League Team of the Season after a superb season for Pep Guardiola’s title-winners – and he’s also bagged his own personal milestone.
The Argentine defender, much improved this term, holds the record for the most successful passes made in a single Premier League season with 2992.
Cesc Fabregas was previously the passing king ever since Opta began collecting such data in the 2006/07 campaign. The silky Spaniard managed 2829 in 2015/16.

Otamendi has been a passing machine all season, with his ball-playing and possession-retaining abilities crucial to City’s success.
Manchester City’s official website wrote the following about their centre-back breaking the record:
“The City centre-back (Otamendi), selected in the 2017-18 PFA Team of the Year, has registered 2,902 passes, which is more than any other player has managed since data began being collected in the 2006-07 season.’
“It eclipses the previous best of 2,829 set by Cesc Fabregas in 2015-16.’
“Given Otamendi has achieved his number with five matches still to play is remarkable and means he is on course to become the first player to break the 3,000 mark!”
The former Valencia and Porto man will almost certainly surpass 3,000 passes in the remaining games of the season in an achievement that will no doubt please his manager.
