Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing winger Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina this summer, according to reports.
The Reds have apparently made initial enquires about the highly rated 20-year-old and have been told that he is valued at £44m.
Corriere dello Sport claim that Fiorentina have placed the high asking on him after his breakthrough season with the Italian side and that they will not consider bids of less that their original asking price.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Napoli are also interested in the Italian international, meaning Fiorentina may end up getting well over the £44m they want for him.
Chelsea and Liverpool have both sent scouts to watch Chiesa in action this season and both have seemingly been impressed with what they’ve seen.
Chiesa has netted six times this season for Fiorentina and has been one of their better players in what has been a turbulent season for them, both on and off the pitch.
Fiorentina boss Stefano Pioli recently spoke about the winger’s future and admitted that he dosnt know whether he will be at the club next season.
I’m calm, even if you can never be in football, Can Chiesa become a ‘bandiera’ or will he be sold like Bernardeschi? I don’t know. What I can say is that he’s grown a lot, he’s made great strides and he can become very important for this club.
