Olivier Giroud believes that Chelsea FC have a “good chance” of reaching the Champions League quarter-finals by beating FC Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
The Blues head into the crunch European clash on the back of their 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday night as the west London side finally bounced back to winning ways in the top flight.
Chelsea FC now turn their attentions towards their Champions League showdown with FC Barcelona after having played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the last 16 clash at Stamford Bridge last month.
The west London side have struggled to find consistent form in the top flight in recent weeks but head into the game after the victory over Palace.
And Giroud seems to feel that the Blues should be confident of causing an upset when they take on the Spanish giants at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website, Giroud said: “Now we put the Premier League on the side and we have to focus on Barcelona.
“I think we have a good chance to go through if we stick together with solidarity. We know it will be tough but I believe in the quality of this team.”
Giroud has been settling into life at Chelsea FC after having signed for the Blues from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
He has scored one goal and made one assist in all competitions for the Blues since moving to the west London club.
