Confirmed: Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final opponent revealed

Chelsea have drawn Southampton in the FA Cup semi finals.

On the other side of the draw, Manchester United will face Tottenham in a fascinating clash at Wembley.

Southampton won earlier today against Wigan, while Chelsea saw off Leicester in a tense clash in the Midlands.

Mark Hughes is the new Saints boss, and while he got a win today, if the relegation scrap is still in full flow when the semis take place he might be tempted to rest player against Chelsea at Wembley.

Either way, it’s a far easier ask than either of the pair on the other side of the draw, both of whom have beaten Chelsea this season.

The draw was performed by Gianfranco Zola and Petr Cech, and predictably, they hooked Chelsea up with the easier option, leading to much moaning on Twitter.

We’re headed to Wembley. Now let’s make it to the final. Come on you Blues.
