Kenedy has stated that he would happy to make his move to Newcastle United from Chelsea permanent in the summer.
The 22-year-old has caught the eye in his six appearances for Rafael Benitez’s side since his temporary move, notably in his last outing against Southampton where he scored two of his side’s three goals.
Having only appeared in the EFL Cup and FA Cup for Antonio Conte’s side before his loan deal, the versatile player could well look to move on at the end of the season as he bids to find regular football.
While he would like to make a name for himself in west London, the Blues are likely to strengthen their squad once again in the summer as they bid to get themselves back into title contention.
Newcastle supporters have made it very clear they would like to sign Kenedy on a permanent deal and it seems the player would also be happy to commit his future to the club.
“This new stage with Newcastle’s shirt makes me very happy,” Kenedy told UOL, as reported by Sport Witness.
“It’s very difficult for a player to stay a long time without playing, even more to get back in the rhythm of the Premier League.”
He added: “If it’s good for everyone, it would be a pleasure to continue wearing the shirt of this great team.”
