Chelsea’s supporters have taken to Twitter in their numbers this evening to heap praise on midfielder N’Golo Kante, following the Frenchman’s Man of the Match performance during the club’s clash with Leicester City.
The two sides went head to head at the King Power Stadium, in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Hosts Leicester came into proceedings on the back of a 4-match unbeaten run, including a 4-1 demolition of West Bromwich Albion last time out.
Chelsea, meanwhile, were hoping to bounce back after falling to defeats in 3 of their last 4 outings, the latest of which saw the Blues ousted from the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona.
Here's our starting XI to face Chelsea: Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan (c), Maguire, Chilwell, Ndidi, Iborra, Mahrez, Albrighton, Iheanacho, Vardy.

The first-half this evening saw clear-cut chances few and far between, though visitors Chelsea were the side clearly on top for the vast majority of the opening 45 minutes.
And the dominance of the away side paid off 3 minutes before the interval, as Willian’s driving run and perfectly-weighted pass set Alvaro Morata through one-on-one with Kasper Schmeichel, with the Spaniard opening up his body to angle a gorgeous finish past the onrushing Dane at the far post.
The second-half saw Leicester come into the game more, with Jamie Vardy skying a huge headed chance and Riyad Mahrez looking dangerous.
But the hosts’ valiant efforts were finally rewarded 15 minutes from time, when Vardy eventually bundled home following a prolonged goalmouth scramble in the Chelsea box.
The clash subsequently went to extra-time, with Pedro’s goal in the 105th-minute having proven the difference between the sides when all was said and done.
The Spaniard beat Kasper Schmeichel to N’Golo Kante’s lofted cross to the penalty spot, before nodding home into the empty Leicester net.
In an excellent all-round day for Chelsea (the Blues have since drawn Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals), one man was singled out for special praise by the club’s fans.
The player in question is N’Golo Kante, who was at his brilliant, all-action best this evening, dominating the middle of the park at the King Power to drive his side on to a crucial win.

Pundit on Kantè : “It’s not just the defensive side, it’s his movement, his passing. He’s been on a different level to anyone on the pitch.”

N’Golo Kante is simply unbelievable. Nothing that man can’t do. Needed a bit of creativity and he steps up. Take note Fabregas. #LEICHE

N'Golo Kante. Great passer. Great dribbler. Great defensive player. Great attacking player. Zero dabs. Zero haircuts. 100% commitment and talent.

A battling and deserved victory imo. Kante an absolute beast. I reckon he could play another 90 minutes plus extra time now and be MOTM again! Just need Zola and Cech to do Chelsea a favour & pair us with Southampton in the semis. Wembley here we come!
