Antonio Conte fires warning to Eden Hazard ahead of Barcelona clash

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has warned Eden Hazard he must win ‘important trophies’ if he’s to compare to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.

The Blues are underdogs to progress to the last-8 of the Champions League after their 1-1 draw with Barcelona at Stamford Bridge in February.

Hazard started as a false 9 that night and could do so again tomorrow as the Belgian looks to win his first ever Champions League title.

The 27-year-old has won two league titles, one Europa League and a League Cup since moving to west London but Conte says the Belgian has someway to go to match the 29 major honours Iniesta has won at Barcelona.

‘We are talking about two different players,’ said Conte.

‘Hazard is more of a no.10, Iniesta is more of a midfielder who stays in the centre of Bacelona’s play. We are talking about two different players.

‘Hazard can play no.10 but for me he can also play as false 0.

‘These are two different players with different careers, Iniesta has won a lot in his career, Hazard has to start winning important trophies in his career’.
