Jose Mourinho: What I really think of Chelsea FC under Antonio Conte

Jose Mourinho described Chelsea FC as a “fantastic” team after his Manchester United side claimed a 2-1 victory over the Blues in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils managed to come from behind to claim the three points as they moved back up into second place in the Premier League table.

Willian opened the scoring for the Blues in the first half but the Red Devils equalised before half-time thanks to Romelu Lukaku’s neat finish.

And the Red Devils completed the turnaround after the break, when Jesse Lingard came off the bench to head home and secure the three points for Mourinho’s men.

Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea FC back in December 2015 just months after guiding the Blues to a League Cup and Premier League double.

Chelsea FC won the Premier League title last season in their first campaign under Antonio Conte but they are now in fifth place in the table.

However, it would seem that Mourinho is still a keen admirer of the team Chelsea FC have at their disposal this season.

Speaking at his post-match news conference on Sunday, Mourinho said: “I think we beat a fantastic team.

“For some reason, they were the champions last season. For some reason, they played the way they did against Barcelona.

“For some reason, they started the game so well as they started here.

“We beat a very good team and to beat a very good team, you need to be organised but you also need to have a humble spirit where everybody works, everybody fights, everybody tries to follow a game plan. I repeat, we beat a very good team.”

Chelsea FC will aim to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Manchester City away from home on Sunday.
