Luis Enrique will set his sights on a stunning move for Barcelona striker Luis Suarez if he becomes Chelsea manager, according to reports.
The former Barca boss is the favourite to take over from Antonio Conte if the Blues decide to sack the Italian.
Conte’s future is under the spotlight after two straight defeats against Bournemouth hand Watford.
Latest reports from Stamford Bridge suggest the Italian has been given a stay of execution and is set to remain in charge despite conceding seven goals in their last two games.
However, reports Spain have suggested the Blues are already planning for Conte’s exit and have made an approach for Enrique to take over in London.
Spanish newspaper Sport claim the former Nou Camp chief has been offered a two-and-a-half year deal by the Premier League club.
Enrique has been out of work since leaving Barcelona last summer. He spent three years in charge of the Catalan club, winning two LaLiga titles and the Champions League.
And he is reportedly already planning a raid on his former club, with the 47-year-old planning to make Luis Suarez his first signing as Blues boss.
L’Equipe claim Enrique will make signing the former Liverpool star his top priority if he takes charge of the Blues.
Suarez has starred for Barcelona since his £75million move from Anfield, but there were doubts over his long-term future in the team late last year as he endured the longest goal drought of his Nou Camp career.
The 31-year-old went 479 minutes in all competitions without finding the net, but he has since returned to form with 16 goals since November.
