Ernesto Valverde has named his Barcelona squad to take on Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday evening,
After finishing in second place behind Roma in the group stage, Antonio Conte’s team were handed a tough draw for the knockout stage with a Round of 16 clash against Lionel Messi and Co.
After a tough run of results since the turn of the year, the Blues have turned the corner following successive wins over West Brom and Hull City and will be confident of getting a result at Stamford Bridge.
Following yesterday’s 2-0 win over Eibar, Valverde has named a virtually fully-fit squad for the trip to west London.
However, Philippe Coutinho is ineligible having played for Liverpool in the group stage prior to his £142million move to the Nou Camp, while Nelson Semedo is ruled out through suspension.
While the duo will miss out, Barcelona can call on former Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen once again.
The Belgian international, who has featured in 14 games for Barca this season, last played for the Spanish giants in the 5-0 win at Real Betis last month having suffered a hamstring injury.
Having trained today, the squad will fly out to London on Monday and will be residing in The Grosvenor Hotel during their time in the capital.
The Blues will then travel to Barcelona for the second leg on March 14.
