CHELSEA goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has dropped a huge transfer hint regarding a move to Real Madrid.
The Belgian goalkeeper had a quiet evening as Chelsea held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw in the Champions League last night.
But he was quizzed on a potential move to Real Madrid after the match because of comments he had previously made to a football magazine in his homeland.
Courtois said that he one day dreams of moving back to the Spanish capital to be with his wife and children but it was taken as a come-and-get-me plea to Zinedine Zidane’s side.
However, the 25-year-old insists that is not the case, but he did not shut the door on a move to the Bernabeu.
“I’m not clear about my future, but what I said that my heart is in Madrid was misunderstood,” he said.
“I have two children in Spain, in Madrid, and that’s not easy.
“I do not think Florentino Perez calls me, but he will call my agent and he will listen to him.
“But I still have one year left [on my contract] and I’m happy and talking to Chelsea.
“They have bet on me from the first moment and that is not forgotten.”
Real thought to be searching for a goalkeeper to replace Keylor Navas in the summer.
Courtois is one of the club’s top targets, alongside Manchester United’s David De Gea.
