CHELSEA star Eden Hazard has reportedly told Alvaro Morata to expect the signing of Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio in the summer.
Chelsea are set to overhaul their squad at the end of the season with the Blues currently misfiring under Antonio Conte and in sore need of a revamp.
Last night’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth made for horrific viewing, with Conte’s men put to the sword by their Premier League counterparts in front of a hostile Stamford Bridge crowd.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim that Hazard is aware of one transfer set to take place come the end of the season.
The Belgium international has supposedly told Chelsea team-mate Morata that Real Madrid’s Asensio is likely to sign.
The player has endured a frustrating campaign over in La Liga.
Asensio was in fine fettle at the start of the campaign, scoring two stunners in back to back wins over Barcelona.
But things have gone wrong since with the Spain international now on the fringes of Zidane’s squad.
And Diario Gol say Hazard thinks Asensio will be strutting his stuff alongside compatriot Morata next season.
However, there’s a catch.
Asensio will supposedly land at Chelsea as part of a deal that will see Hazard move in the opposite direction.
The 27-year-old is one of Zidedine Zidane’s top transfer targets for the summer.
And Hazard exchanging places with Asensio will sweeten the deal for Chelsea.
However, Hazard is not the only player who could be joining Real come the end of the season.
Los Blancos also retain an interest in goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, whose own Chelsea future is shrouded in uncertainty.
Manchester United’s David De Gea, Tottenham’s Harry Kane and PSG’s Neymar are also on their summer wishlist.
