ANTONIO CONTE is struggling to keep his Chelsea players onside amid strong speculation his time at the club is coming to an end, according to reports.
The Chelsea boss has come under increased pressure following Monday’s 4-1 defeat to Watford.
It comes just a week after they were thrashed 3-0 by Bournemouth and is the first time Chelsea have lost two consecutive Premier League games by three goals or more since 1995.
The Italian coach seemingly challenged Roman Abramovich to either back him or sack him after the game against the Hornets.
Chelsea captain Gary Cahill has since said the players must take responsibility for their poor form this season.
But the Daily Mail suggests some Stamford Bridge stars have lost faith in their manager.
That is reportedly due to a few of the players growing tired with Conte’s “repetitive” training regime.
It is said they have privately moaned about Conte’s methods leading to fatigue among the players.
There have been some reports suggesting his time at the club could come to an end this week with Luis Enrique or Carlo Ancelotti the leading candidates to take over from Conte.
The Blues boss has taken the decision to give his players three days rest as they are not due to play again until Monday when they face West Brom at home.
Chelsea face a tough run of fixtures towards the end of the month as they come up against Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City in the space of a fortnight.
