CHELSEA have told Real Madrid that they will need to fork out £200m for Eden Hazard if they want to buy him this summer.
The Belgian star is one of Madrid’s top targets going into this year’s transfer windows.
Boss Zinedine Zidane is a huge fan of the 27-year-old and the feeling is reportedly mutual.
The Blues have been locked in contract talks with Hazard’s representatives all season but he is waiting to see what Real will offer.
The European Champions are going through a poor season by their standards that could see Zidane lose his job, which would impact Hazard’s decision.
Chelsea also slipped out of the top-four last weekend, after losing to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Whether the Premier League champions secure Champions League football next season will also be a big factor in the former Lille star’s future.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a notoriously hard man to buy players from, though, and has slapped a whopping £200m price-tag on his most prized asset.
Hazard’s current deal expires in 2020 and the Russian billionaire wants more than what Paris-St Germain paid for Neymar, according to the Daily Mail.
The Belgium international has played down the rumours he will leave but did not rule out a move entirely.
“For the time being I’m here, there are still some months to go and competitions to try to win, then the World Cup is coming up,” Hazard said.
“I’m here, I still have two-and-a-half years on my contract.
“I’m very settled here and playing every game.
“The fans like me a lot and my family likes it here. We’ll see.”
