Chelsea FC have suffered another injury blow after Ross Barkley was ruled out of the trip to Watford on Monday night, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the midfielder has picked up a hamstring injury and is set to miss the Blues’ Premier League clash at Vicarage Road on Monday night.
The same report says that Barkley is thought to have picked up a hamstring problem in training last week, although it makes it clear that the severity of the problem has not yet been determined.
Should Barkley indeed be suffering from a hamstring problem, he would be the eighth Chelsea FC player to have picked up that particular injury this season.
Barkley has been getting used to life at Stamford Bridge after signing for the Blues from Everton at the start of the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC head into their clash with Watford looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after their disappointing 3-0 loss to Bournemouth in front of their home fans last week.
The Blues are aiming to at least finish in the top four this season after they ended up top of the table last term.
