BARCELONA are desperate to sign Chelsea star Marcos Alonso.
The Spain international has been instrumental for the Blues following his 2016 move to Stamford Bridge.
Alonso guided the Blues to the Premier League title last season, impressing as a left wing-back under Antonio Conte.
The 27-year-old has carried on where he left off this time out, netting six goals and chipping in with two assists in all competitions.
And according to Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon, Barcelona are now desperate to land the defender.
They claim Barca, who travel to Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, are hoping to discuss a move for Alonso during their trip.
Barca want to ask the Blues about the availability of Alonso ahead of a possible summer transfer.
Don Balon add that Barca are desperate to replace Lucas Digne at the Nou Camp.
The Spanish giants know Alonso would provide competition for first-choice left-back Jordi Alba.
Chelsea were back in action last night as the Blues hammered Hull 4-0 in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge.
