Spanish giants Barcelona have this afternoon revealed a second injury boost for their side ahead of the club’s clash with Chelsea in the Champions League in 10 days’ time.
The two sides are set to go head to head in the last 16 of Europe’s top-tier competition on the 20th of February, with both on markedly differing runs of form.
The Blues have fallen to a pair of shock losses at the hands of Bournemouth and Watford over the last two weeks, with reports now mounting that the club could be preparing to part ways with manager Antonio Conte, in the case of further poor results.
Barcelona, on the other hand, have won 5 and drawn 1 of their last 6 fixtures, with their most recent win having seen the Catalans qualify for the Copa Del Rey final.
Barca were handed an injury boost on Wednesday night, when it was confirmed that defender Gerard Pique had been included in the club’s squad for their clash with Valencia on Thursday, just days after reports had spread that the Spanish international could be set for up to a month on the sidelines with a knee injury.
And, in yet another boost on the injury front for the La Liga leaders this afternoon, the club have taken to social media to confirm that winger Ousmane Dembele, who had been out of action since picking up a hamstring injury last month, has returned to Ernesto Valverde’s squad for tomorrow afternoon’s La Liga matchup with Getafe:
