Willian has told Antonio Conte that he feels his performances have been improving significantly since being handed a more regular run in the Chelsea team.
The Brazilian attacker is widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s finest attacking talents but he has found his playing time to be somewhat restricted this season.
The 29-year-old has scored eight goals and made six assists in all competitions for Conte’s side so far this season and he is a firm favourite amongst Chelsea fans.
Willian, however, has only started half of Chelsea’s 22 Premier League games so far this season as he bids to become a regular fixture in Conte’s side.
The attacker has been handed a more regular role in the Chelsea team of late and Willian feels that his run in the team has helped him find some better form.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Willian said: “I’m happy with my performances.
“Since I started to play more games I’ve improved, scored more goals and helped the team.”
‘Trophies are trophies and I want to get more,’ he says.
‘I already have three, two Premier Leagues and one League Cup, since I’ve been here, but I really want to win more because when you play for a big club like Chelsea you have to win trophies every season and that’s what we will try to do.’
Willian will be hoping to feature when the Blues take on Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the Premier League.
Chelsea are currently third in the table as they look to try and get as close to Manchester City in the Premier League as possible.
The Blues played out a 0-0 draw with Arsenal in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash on Wednesday night.
