Juventus value Chelsea’s number one target Alex Sandro at around £60m in the January transfer market, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The defending Premier League champions attempted to sign the Brazil international in the summer transfer window but the Blues were seemingly unable to reach an agreement with Serie A giants Juventus.
Antonio Conte was keen to provide more competition for a first-team place at left-back despite Marcos Alonso’s incredible performances in the Chelsea team since his move from Fiorentina in 2016.
Sandro has been attracting interest from a number of top European clubs over the past six months or so, including Chelsea’s bitter rivals Manchester United and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old has scored one goal and has made four assists in 13 appearances in Serie A this season to continue to shine in the Juventus team despite speculation surrounding his future.
Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol warned Chelsea that Juventus have reduced their asking price for the South American defender and the Blues will have to pay a transfer fee in the region of £60m.
“Chelsea are trying to sign a left-back,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News on Thursday morning. “It’s no secret that Antonio Conte wants competition for Marcos Alonso.
“His first choice has been Alex Sandro at Juventus but he would cost £60m. PSG and Manchester United are also interested in signing the Brazilian full-back.”
Alonso has scored six goals and has made one assist in 23 appearances in the Premier League this season.
