Through a statement on their official website, EFL League One outfit MK Dons have announced their first signing of the January transfer window, Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo.
The 19-year-old was recalled from his loan spell with Barnsley on Wednesday and a day later he has been snapped up by The Dons on loan for the remainder of the 2017-2018 campaign.
In his first words after inking the deal, Ugbo told MK Don’s official webpage : ”I’m delighted to join such a great club and I can’t wait to get started.
”I’ve settled in well today – the players made me feel comfortable and at home.
”The players MK Dons have helped develop over the years like Dele Alli and Benik Afobe inspired me to come here.
”Hopefully I can do my best to help the team climb up the table.”
Ike Ugbo joins the young midfielder David Kasumu, ex-Arsenal schoolboy Chuks Aneke and United States youth-teamer Gboly Ariyibi at MK Dons.
