EDEN HAZARD is happier than he has ever been at Chelsea for one reason.
That is the opinion of pundit and former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas.
Hazard has been in insatiable form of late, netting three times in his last two games.
The Belgian’s performances have only sparked more rumours of a potential Chelsea exit.
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with Hazard for a number of seasons now.
And Nicholas believes the attacker may know he is getting a move to Spain in the coming months.
“He looks very content within himself,” the Scot said on Sky Sports.
“I don’t think I can recall him being happier in terms of his own personality.”
Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling then asked Nicholas: “Dare I, the cynic in me, dare I ask does that mean he is happy because he knows he’s going to be leaving?
He responded: “It’s a possibility. He knows he’s in such a strong position.
“He’s had the ultimate dip from when he went from superstar footballer to just an average footballer.
“We thought ‘how could that happen to somebody with his talent?’.
“And I think a lot of people when ‘I’m not sure if you’re ready for Real Madrid or someone like that’.
“Now he probably is because I think he is more assure of himself, he’s more confident that these people do want him.”
Hazard is in line to take on Newcastle in the FA Cup tomorrow.
