CHELSEA are set to finally complete a move for Everton star Ross Barkley today.
The playmaker almost joined the Blues during the summer but changed his mind on deadline day, opting to stay at Goodison Park in order to recover from a hamstring injury.
And Antonio Conte is expected to go back in for the England international with a £15m offer.
That’s only half of what Chelsea were prepared to pay back in August and now Barkley has just six months left on his contract.
The Daily Mail report that he was in London yesterday in an effort to push through a move.
Tottenham also remains keen but Conte is confident of finally getting his man.
Barkley is close to a recovery from his injury and will be desperate to get some Premier League minutes under his belt as he looks to gatecrash Gareth Southgate’s World Cup plans.
The 24-year-old is yet to feature this season but scored six times last campaign, providing nine assists.
Everton have enjoyed a resurgence under new boss Sam Allardyce and currently sit ninth in the Premier League.
They return to action this evening as they travel to arch-rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup.
