He was looking at Andy Carroll but an injury has ruled that one out and now Dzeko is on his radar.

The Blues are said to be willing to pay £44m for Dzeko and left-back Emerson Palmieri.

Chelsea are evening willing to send Michy Batshuayi out to Roma on loan as part of the deal.

Giroud target?

07.45: Paul Merson has questioned why Chelsea haven’t considered making a move for Arsenal star Olivier Giroud yet.

Chelsea are looking for another striker and have been linked with Andy Carroll, Edin Dzeko and Peter Crouch.

But Merson thinks Giroud would be a better option.

“With Giroud, if I was Chelsea I’d be looking at Giroud if you’re looking at Carroll and Crouch,” Merson said on Sky Sports’ The Debate.

Crouch on the radar

Antonio Conte’s hunt for a striker has taken him to the 36-year-old.

  1. No offense but Crouch is crap and the guy is old very old. The moment Chelsea buy him he will announce his retirement the next day.
It’s very funny how the board has ignored Conte’s player wishlist of Candreva (30) Vidal (30) Llorente (32) calling them old and now they want Crouch, (how ironic😒😒)
