Antonio Conte has reminded Chelsea fans that the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Alvaro Morata and Antonio Rudiger are playing over Christmas for the first time.
All three players signed for the Blues in the summer transfer window and they have been trying to adapt quickly to life in England.
The Premier League is famous for its hectic festive schedule, with the Blues having played on Boxing Day and sealed a 2-0 win over Brighton.
Bakayoko has been one of the players to have been criticised for his recent performances for Chelsea since his move to the west London club from Monaco in the summer.
Nevertheless, Conte is clearly a firm believer in his ability, with Bakayoko having started 15 of Chelsea’s 20 Premier League games this term.
And Chelsea boss Conte moved to remind Blues fans that it will take time for the west London side’s summer signings to adapt to life in England.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Tuesday, Conte said: “For Morata, Bakayoko and Rudiger it’s the first time they’ve played at Christmas.
“It’s not simple but this atmosphere is great. During this period you have your parents, brothers, daughters with you and the family come to watch the game.
“It’s a busy period for us but it started in November and will continue through January and February.”
Chelsea will return to Premier League action on Saturday when they take on Stoke City at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, the west London side are set to be linked with a number of new players in the coming days as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
