Alvaro Morata to return for Chelsea as Antonio Conte deals with one major injury for Brighton

Chelsea are set to recall Alvaro Morata to their starting line-up to face Brighton after the Spaniard was prevented from playing any part in the 0-0 draw with Everton due to a one-match suspension.

Antonio Conte had attempted to make up his absence by continuing to field a striker-less formation with Eden Hazard flanked by Pedro and Willian.

However, the Toffees offered up too much resistance for the Blues and held out for a draw at Goodison Park. David Luiz is the only major loss for the reigning Premier League champions going into their clash with Brighton.

The Brazilian continues to struggle with a knee problem while Belgian youngster Charly Musonda is also on the injury list. He has reported trouble with his groin and will not be available for selection.

Andreas Christensen is set to retain his place in the middle of the defence to cover for Luiz while Ethan Ampadu may be named on the bench again as a back up to the Dane.
