Chelsea can sign Real Madrid star Marco Asensio – if Eden Hazard is allowed to move to the Bernabeu.
Chelsea have been tipped to sign Asensio from Real Madrid with the Spain international currently struggling to make his mark.
The 21-year-old has faded into obscurity ever since scoring in back to back games against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup back in August.
Manchester United are also in the running for the player’s signature but the two clubs’ strained transfer relationship means a move to Old Trafford is unlikely.
And Spanish website Diario Gol claim Chelsea can sign Asensio – if Hazard is allowed to move.
It is no coincidence that Chelsea’s recent resurgence has coincided with Hazard’s return from injury.
The wing wizard was in spectacular form last term, driving the Blues to the Premier League title for the second time in three years.
And he has also enjoyed a stunning start to the current campaign, striking up a positive relationship with striker Alvaro Morata.
But, with the player excelling, Real are circling.
It is an open secret that manager Zidane is a huge admirer of Hazard, with the Belgian being on his radar for quite some time.
And Diario Gol say Real are ready to include Asensio in any deal for the Chelsea star.
Zidane and Hazard supposedly WhatsApp on a regular basis, with the Blues forward expecting Real to make a move for him at the end of the season.
Yet club president Florentino Perez may need some persuading.
Perez admires Asensio as a player and believes he represents the future of the La Liga side.
Only time will tell, however, if Hazard and Asensio end up swapping clubs.
