Antonio Conte has singled out Cesc Fabregas for special praise following his recent good form for Chelsea.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been a much more regular fixture in the first team for the Blues this season and has started 10 of Chelsea’s 12 games in the Premier League so far.
Fabregas continued his good form on Saturday when he notched up two assists for the Blues in their impressive 4-0 victory over West Brom at The Hawthorns.
The former Arsenal captain struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the first team at Chelsea under Conte last season but seems to have won over the Italian coach with his fine displays.
And Conte singled out the Spanish midfielder for special praise after Chelsea’s 4-0 win at The Hawthorns.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Conte said: “At West Brom, Eden and Morata showed a great link, but also with the ball we have another player who deserves great credit, Cesc Fabregas.
“This season, we are changing something compared to last season to find a new balance and solidity, to have a good balance when we are attacking and when we are defending.
“I hope we continue to improve – this was a good win for us, we finished with a clean sheet and we have to continue with this work.”
Chelsea are now preparing for their trip to Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
After that, the Blues will then switch their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their crunch clash against Liverpool at Anfield next Saturday evening.
Defending champions Chelsea are currently in third place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games of the new season.
