Antonio Conte has revealed that Victor Moses is finally on the brink of making his return to action for Chelsea.
The Nigerian has been out of action after suffering a hamstring injury in the defeat by Crystal Palace earlier this season but is now closing in on a comeback for the Blues.
Moses has been working hard on his fitness levels behind the scenes at Cobham as he bids to get back fit as soon as possible.
Chelsea were impressive 4-0 winners over West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday and Moses was again not involved for the west London side.
However, speaking at his post-match news conference after the game, Conte confirmed that Moses is now close to making his comeback and he could feature against Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Conte said: “Victor Moses is progressing well and I hope to have him back from tomorrow [Sunday], for the game after Qarabag.
“It’s important to have all the senior players in good form without injuries.”
Chelsea’s win over West Brom lifted them into third place in the table, but the Blues are still nine points behind runaway leaders Manchester City after 12 games of the new campaign.
The west London side, who won the title in style under Conte last term, will return to Premier League action next weekend with a crunch clash against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening.
