Voting open now: Vote for Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata has been nominated for two of the Premier League’s September prizes following a fantastic month for the Spanish striker, and you can vote for him to win.

The 24-year-old is on a shortlist of seven for the Player of the Month award, while one of his three strikes in our win at Stoke is among the contenders for Goal of the Month.

Morata enjoyed a fine September for the Blues, heading home a brilliant opening goal in our win at Leicester before scoring a stunning hat-trick in the 4-0 victory at Stoke.

It’s the second of his three goals against Mark Hughes’s side which you can vote for to win the monthly prize, a superb finish from a tight angle after he produced a wonderful burst of pace to get away from Glen Johnson and Darren Fletcher .

Andreas Christensen ranked among Premier League’s top passers

Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen has impressed everyone who’s watched him this season, and his stats back up what the naked eye has seen.

The Dane was on the bench for his country this week, but he’s already made three starts in the Premier League for Chelsea this season and come off the bench three times for a total of 344 minutes.

In that time he’s mainly been filling in for David Luiz at the heart of the back three, and he’s taken up the Brazilian’s mantle as the master passer for the Blues.

According to WhoScored, only six players have a higher pass success percentage than Christensen this season. His 92.3% is bettered only by top players like Moussa Dembele.

Luiz is back for the Blues next week against Crystal Palace, and Christensen may well drop out. But as we learned this week, young Andreas has been training across the back three, and this rate he’s going ot be appearing on the teamsheet regularly this season.
