Kurt Zouma refuses to say whether he has returned to his pre-injury levels

Kurt Zouma has been speaking in the Stoke Sentinel about his current form, and whether he is back to his best after the knee ligament injury that ruled him out for a year.

He has been excellent on loan at Stoke this season, continuing where he left off before the injury that cruelly ruled him out for such a long period.

“I feel very well here. I’m playing, I’m happy and I’m getting back to what I used to do before. That’s why I’m here, to help the team and play. I’ll keep going like that,” the former St Etienne man told the paper.

“Am I back at my best level? I just do my best every game. People can judge how well I’m playing. I just need to keep focussed on that.”

It’s amazing to remember that the defender is just 22, and still has a huge amount of time to develop. While the injury he had was very serious, the upside of it is that as a young player he has the opportunity to recover from it fully, and it doesn’t look as though it will damage his career long term.

Chelsea are well stocked with centre backs at the moment, but Zouma remains a popular figure at Stamford Bridge and fans would be delighted to have the Frenchman back in the mix next season.

Winger keen to silence rumours surrounding his Chelsea future

Chelsea winger Willian has confirmed he is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge, ending speculation that he could make a move away from the club.

The Brazilian has been criticised for his performances on occasion this season, and the fact that he has previously revealed contacts with Manchester United, has added to rumours that he could leave the Blues sooner rather than later.

Speaking to FourFourTwo magazine this week, the 29 year old was keen to emphasise he is happy remaining at the club:

“I’m very happy at Chelsea. I just try to improve year on year. And it’s been happening.”

Willian has featured in all but one of Chelsea’s matches this season. Manager Antonio Conte has started him on seven occasions but he is yet to score so far this campaign, with two assists to his name; the first coming in the opening day 3-2 defeat against Burnley, and the last coming in the 6-0 win over Qarabag in the Champions League.

The Brazilian international’s contract was extended in July 2016 with his current deal expiring in 2020.
