Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante has been nominated for the 2017 Ballon d’Or award.
While everyone at Chelsea wants Eden Hazard to win the Ballon D’Or, it is N’Golo Kante who has stolen the thunder and dragged his name right across the pitch to the nominations. Now it is upto other players and managers to make him the undoubted king of all times in football. Eden Hazard may still be nominated.
France Football are announcing a 30-man list of nominees over the course of Monday and the 26-year-old Blues midfielder was among the first five names to be revealed. Kante was at the heart of Antonio Conte’s side which stormed to the 2016/17 Premier League title and the France international won the PFA Player of the Year for his efforts last season.

Paris Saint-Germain’s world-record summer signing Neymar was also included in the first batch of names, along with Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala and Real Madrid stars Luka Modric and Marcelo.
Cristiano Ronaldo is in pole position to win the coveted award, with Lionel Messi and Gianluigi Buffon second and third favourites respectively.
The Portugal superstar lifted his fourth Ballon d’Or last year and another win would bring him level with Barcelona legend Messi.
