Chelsea Confirm 2017/18 25 Man Squad

Yesterday, the Premier League confirmed the summer edition of Chelsea’s 25 man squad.

With the transfer window closing at 11pm on Thursday evening, clubs had to get the revised numbers in quickly and by a deadline of 4pm yesterday and here is the player list that Chelsea submitted for the coming half a season.

As ever, the details.

A 25 man squad cannot contain more than 17 players who do not fulfil the home grown requirement of the Premier League, and once those 17 non home grown players have been named, the remainder of the squad must be a player who, irrespective of age or nationality, has been registered with a club affiliated to the Football Association or Football Association of Wales for a period of (continuous or not) of three seasons or 36 months prior to the their 21st birthday.

No changes can be made to this 25 man squad now until the January window, but players classed as Under 21 for this season do not have to be named, but can come into contention for Premier League games if required.

More Breaking News:
Some Chelsea fans believe that wantaway striker Diego Costa could turn his Blues career around after being named in the club’s final Premier League squad.

The 28-year-old has been in exile after claiming he was told by Blues boss Antonio Conte that he was not wanted at the club and he has declared that he wants to move back to Atletico Madrid.

However, the transfer deadlines came and went in both England and the next day in Spain without Costa making the switch anywhere.

Now the Chelsea fans reckon the Brazilian could make a return to the side and fire them back to Premier League glory, with some suggesting that he could form a lethal front line with new signing Alvaro Morata with Eden Hazard behind.

  1. Yes I think Conte will give Costa another chance, and it is up to Costa to show everyone that despite the differfnces he is or wants to be loyal to the club.HE WILL HAVE TO ACT LIKE A PLAYER ON TRIALS

  2. I think Conte should apologize to Coasta. He deserves a better treatment than the one Conte gave him. Conte should also assure him that he will given same level like other to fight for a place in Chelsea first 11.

  3. At first I don’t really understand conte a player of that magnitude who was also in the picture of Chelsea premier league wining. Infact costa u are our best striker for now pls come back to Chelsea and forget the past we still need u more Dan we need u b4 up Chelsea

  4. Costa will cause a problem in the dressing room. Have you forgotten so quickly that he wore Atlentico Madrid Jersey while still a Chelsea player? No, he can’t be loyal again. Remember what he did in January, he wanted to go to China. Lets allow Morata to adapt quickly.

  5. to me conte is the wisest coach chelsea may ever have with the way he managed a problematic player like costa during the crucial period for us towards winning the league, and at the same time i think he’s also a master planner for getting one of best young talented striker for less than what might be so outrageous, and also does anyone remember how fast we cope without our darling drogba and other chelsea legend,so why not leave conte with is master class long time planning
