Eagle-eyed Chelsea fans have noticed that the club appear to have accidentally announced the signing of Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater on the official website this afternoon.
Although the alleged news story was only up for a short amount of time, it didn’t stop a number of supporters getting a quick screengrab of the image.
Although the image could be a fake, Drinkwater has managed to dominate talk between Chelsea fans on social media with the supposed screenshot doing the rounds.
With Chelsea agreeing a fee for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, it could turn out to be a very good day for the club.
Antonio Conte is a big admirer of the 27-year-old and he is keen to reunite Drinkwater with his former Leicester teammate N’Golo Kante at Stamford Bridge.
While the Foxes have demanded £40million for their midfielder, reports suggest that the teams will come to a compromise for much less than Leicester’s asking price.

Belotti found the net with an excellent strike as Torino ran out 3-0 winners and, although the attacker isn’t quite at his sharpest, he demonstrated what he is capable of.
Mihajlovic told Sky Italia (via goal): “Belotti is not yet at his best, but with that goal he showed he is worth €100m.
“It was a tough match. In the first minutes we closed them but we didn’t break through.
“Maybe the end result is too harsh, but the victory was deserved.”
Belotti has been heavily linked with a move away from Torino this summer, with Chelsea amongst the clubs reportedly interested in signing him.
However, with the end of the transfer window drawing ever closer, time is running out for a move to be made and it could well be the case that Belotti ends up staying at Torino.
Last season the Italy international scored 28 goals in 38 games for Torino across all competitions.
Torino face Benevento away in their first game after the international break, with a home fixture against Sampdoria to follow thereafter.
