Rose’s future at Spurs has been thrown into major doubt with just days left of the summer transfer window following his explosive interview last week.
The England full-back hit out at several aspects of his current employers and insisted he should be earning more money.
Rose is currently on around £65,000-a-week at Tottenham but he wants a major boost, especially following the mammoth contract Manchester City have handed Kyle Walker.
And the London Evening Standard say Chelsea are looking to lure Rose across London to Stamford Bridge.
It is said that the Blues are willing to increase his pay packet to over £120,000-a-week as they seek to bolster their squad before deadline day.
But Antonio Conte and co will have a major fight on their hands to persuade Tottenham into selling.
The reports add that Spurs are not expected to entertain any offers from Chelsea and would be reluctant to hold any sort of negotiations.
Manchester United are also keen on the 27-year-old who said last week that he wants to play for a top club up north before he retires.
Rose was not involved in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday.
There have been reports today that Chelsea will table an opening bid of £50m for the defender after they face Spurs at Wembley this weekend.
Rose will not be action in the blockbuster London derby as he is still recovering from knee surgery.
