Danny Rose is likely to stay at Tottenham after talks with Mauricio Pochettino, according to reports.
The England defender looked to be on his way out of the club after he recently gave an explosive interview criticising Spurs’ transfer policy and suggesting that he deserved higher wages.
Rose was closely linked with Chelsea and also Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho reportedly assessing his options at left-back, but it appears the 27-year-old is ready to remain in North London.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Pochettino had a long chat with the former Leeds United player at the club’s Enfield training base in an effort to smooth things over.
It was said that the Argentinian manager told the defender he is still a vital member of the Spurs squad and a crucial part of his plans going forward.
The Mirror also claim they will reject any bid Chelsea or United could make for him.
Spurs meanwhile, have clinched their first signing of the summer with a club-record £42m deal for Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.
His arrival is likely to pave the exit of Austrian centre-back Kevin Wimmer, who could join West Brom for around £15m.
