The La Liga giants are desperate to replace Neymar at the Nou Camp following the winger’s £200m move to Paris St-Germain.
Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund star Ousmane Dembele have been linked with Barca in recent weeks.
However, according to France Football, the Spanish side have another target.
They reckon Barca have opened talks with Chelsea winger Willian over a shock summer move.
France Football add that Barca admire Willian’s versatility, with the former Shakhtar Donetsk star able to play on either wing.
Manchester United tried to sign Willian last summer, with Jose Mourinho a big admirer of the Brazil international.
However, the 29-year-old said nothing came from talks between the clubs.
“There were a few conversations with my agent. I worked with Mourinho and I became his friend as well,” Willian said.
“He likes me a lot and I like him a lot as a coach and as a person.
“He has put his trust in me and in my work, and I was very grateful to him.
“Manchester came to me, they talked with my agent, but nothing happened, because Chelsea would not negotiate me in any way and I’m very happy at Chelsea.”
