24-year-old: Chelsea is the ‘perfect’ place for me to play my football

The Spaniard struggled to break into the Real Madrid first team last season, and whilst he is clearly talented, fans weren’t sure if he could do it at the highest level.

Against Burnley, though, he gave supporters a sample of what’s to come. He bagged a goal for the Blues and was instrumental as his side attempted a comeback. Though it wasn’t to be, Morata’s performance was the one shining light.

Having completed his move and made his debut, Morata has now spoken about his decision to come to Chelsea with the official Chelsea magazine, and he appears very excited for what is to come.

Morata said: “I need to make an explosion in my career and I am at the perfect place, the perfect club to do that”.

Elaborating, he said: “I always think like a winner and I want to win everything it is possible to win. Last season the team won the Premier League and now we can try to win it again, and maybe the Champions League”.

Morata clearly has big expectations for his tenure in London, and this will come as music to the ears of the fans in the Transfer Tavern.

If he keeps scoring like he did against Burnley, he’ll quickly become a fan favourite.

Morata is clearly a top forward, and now he has the platform from which to prove his skill.

An early goal certainly would have been a confidence booster, and now he’ll be able to kick on and really impress.

His side need him to do well, as they’re really in a rut at the moment. There’s no better time to impress than against Tottenham…

Earlier he also said that he must do something explosive now that he is at Chelsea. Well, we are looking at you Morata. And the time is now.
