Inter have realized that snagging Andreas Christensen won’t be as cheap as they hoped.
In fact, the Corriere dello Sport confirm that Chelsea want €30 million for Borussia Monchengladbach loanee, who has had a positive season in Germany.
Then again, the Nerazzurri aren’t afraid, and have already sent feelers and opened a channel with the Premier League champions. This could lead to talks in the coming weeks.
The Danish star has scored four goals in all competitions, but was, more importantly, a rare bright spot in a season marred by disappointments and inconsistency.
The Chelsea loanee was Inter’s replacement for Davinson Sanchez, their original target at the back. The 22-year-old is liked by Crystal Palace and Barcelona, however, allowing the Lancers to raise his price to a stunning €40m.
Life won’t be easy for the Danish international in London, as he is behind David Luiz, Gary Cahill and likely acquisition Antonio Rudiger.
