Jeremie Boga may well get the chance to impress from the start as Chelsea take on Bayern Munich tonight in Singapore.
The 20-year-old winger made a great impact when he came on as a first half substitute in the comfortable 3-0 win over Arsenal in Beijing at the weekend.
And with Pedro having to fly home after multiple facial fractures suffered during a colision with David Ospina in the Bird’s Nest, the Ivory Coast international may get the chance to start.
In training, the winger looked sharp and fit, with some neat finishes and good link-up play with Michy Batshuayi and Willian.
Another in contention to begin the game is Andreas Christensen, who came on as a late substitute in the win over the Gunners.
However, if the training ground exercise was anything to go by in the open session in Singapore’s National Stadium, then the Dane is set to start the match.
He lined up with Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta in the centre of the three, with Boga also in the XI along with the rest of the strongest team.
David Luiz was the one player left out, while Antonio Conte confirmed that Alvaro Morata will not start the game, but will get some minutes under his bench.
So Batshuayi will lead the line once again, looking to add to his four goals and three assists already accrued in the two pre-season matches.
Cesc Fabregas will remain in the middle of the park with N’Golo Kante as the Blues put out another strong team.
Bayern will be reeling from their 4-0 thumping by AC Milan at the weekend, and are also expected to play a strong XI themselves.
Chelsea: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill, Moses, Alonso, Kante, Fabregas, Boga, Willian, Batshuayi.
